Celebrate {October}

I can’t believe that it’s nearly fall! Although we don’t really see or feel the difference in weather because we live in Miami and the changes and VERY subtle, we do begin celebrating the season and the holidays!

I grew up in Venezuela, where the weather is a balmy 75 degrees year round and Halloween is not even a holiday! So, needless to say, fall and October holidays are something I have celebrated only since I have lived in the USA, but I have embraced it happily! So…October here we come! My wish list has many, many projects that I would love to take on, but I have to be realistic, so here is my Celebrate {October} to do list:

Harvest/Fall Home Decor: This year I’ve decided to decorate for the season. I really like this wreath and my plan is to make not one, but two!  I have a double door as my front door, and I think this would look beautiful! Also, Tiza and I went to the Dollar Tree this morning and bought something that I might use to enhance my harvest/Halloween wreath…You’ll see what I do later.

Halloween classroom favors: My kids are still young enough that they enjoy taking treats to their classmates as often as possible. Yay!!! This gives me a great excuse to make something new. I found this VERY easy treat that I just might just use as inspiration to make this year.

Get costumes for the kids (and maybe something for me?): When I saw this costume I thought is was awesome! I’ll have my kids choose their costumes now so that I’m not scrambling to put it together at the last minute.

Plan our 9th Annual Halloween Celebration: I need to send out the invitation or Evite (haven’t decided) and would like to make a new decorations for the house. This is sooooo cute!!
