Hi there!  I would like to introduce myself.  I am a 64 year old woman, bilingual, married to the same man for 43 years. Born in Hamilton, Ohio vs. my husband who is Venezuelan, yet born in Bogotá, Colombia.  It is here where my life takes a twist after saying ” I do” at the alter in St. Joseph, Michigan where I graduated from high school and attended the Lake Michigan Jr. College.  The same day I was married, I flew off to what would be my new home for close to 35 years: Caracas, Venezuela.  So begins my family diversity.  I am the proud mother of two incredible women, Diana and Tiza born and brought up in Caracas.  They both gave me the the family jewels, my grandchildren Alex, Gaby, Dani and Sofi who with their laughter and joy and love, make my life better.  Their fathers, one Venezuelan and the other Guatemalan continued to broaden and strengthen an already diverse family.

I am grateful to have my whole family reside in Miami where we welcome the warmth of the Latin community with its vivid colors and contagious happy music while being comforted by the orderly democratic stability that the U.S. offers us.  It is here where I jump start a new phase and adventure in my life.  With my daughters’ invitation and encouragement, I join them in the birth of our family blog where we each will share our strengths in life as well as our own perspectives on many life’s issues that affect us all.  I ask that you join me in this endeavor as I welcome all thoughts and ideas.  Forgive me for those mistakes I am bound to make as I face my fears of our ever changing tech filled world, and enjoy with me each advancement and success as small they might be.
